Ubisoft have confirmed that the follow up to Rayman Origins will not be releasing this year.
Rayman Legends was until now considered a launch game for the Wii U in Europe, but the game has now been given a worldwide launch of early 2013.
“Rayman Legends will launch worldwide in the first quarter of 2013.”
“We’re happy that fans are excited about the game, and we are taking the time to make sure we deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds their expectations. We’ll have more details to share soon.”
Two major new platformers being released on the same day may not have been a good idea especially when the other game is New Super Mario Bros U. So launching Rayman Legends later is certainly a wise move by Ubisoft.
